Strategic Workforce Planning: Faster Change = Greater Effect (Video)
HR practices 9/14
Our fourteen-part video series provides brief answers to today’s most pressing HR questions.
The rapid change in business environments means that personnel requirements can hardly be planned beyond five years. At the same time, this means that strategic workforce planning for a time horizon of three to five years is gaining importance. This is because any growth or transformation initiative will also occur within this time frame. It will only be successful if the personnel with the necessary skills are available. The room for error or adjustment has shrunk to a minimum. Therefore, strategic workforce planning in a VUCA world takes place in even closer coordination with the business units and has to be reviewed at shorter intervals.
An easy-to-understand explanation of this is from Andreas Letto in this video.
